Blenheim Palace has a whoopsy-splunkers starring role in Disney’s new BFG film which opened at cinemas across the UK on 22 July.

The live-action film, which is co-produced by Steven Spielberg, is based on Roald Dahl’s bestselling children’s book telling the story of 10-year-old orphan Sophie’s encounter with the Big Friendly Giant.

Scenes were filmed at the Oxfordshire stately home including a scene featuring the BFG and Beefeaters in the Italian Garden and shots from the Tower Bedroom looking out onto the grounds.

The indoor fair will run on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July with a wide variety of stallholders from the world of Antiques, Collectables & Vintage. The Tropical Butterfly House in North Anston, Sheffield has been announced as a finalist for a prestigious White Rose Award.

More than 100 businesses have made the shortlist in the prestigious White Rose Awards, which celebrate the very best of tourism in Yorkshire.

The awards are the UK’s largest celebration of tourism and cover 17 categories, from the best Yorkshire pub to outstanding customer service. The Tropical Butterfly House is a finalist in the Large Visitor Attraction category.
