WWT London Wetland Centre is a lush green oasis, just ten minutes from Hammersmith tube by bus. Set on the banks of the Thames it's a great place to unwind with a stroll along the scenic walkways among the lakes, pools, meadows and gardens.
WWT London Wetland Centre
This 105 acre wildlife reserve is home to a wide range of animals such as ducks, geese and wading birds, water voles, dragonflies and bats. There are six hides dotted around the grounds where you can watch wildlife close up plus a collection of beautiful water birds from around the world, bred for conservation purposes, and a family of otters. During autumn and winter you can enjoy the spectacle of hundreds of birds who spend the winter there, or in spring and summer wander the gardens and pathways through a blaze of colourful flowers and shrubs.
It's also the perfect place for the kids to let off steam with a couple of adventure play areas plus a high-tech Pond Zone. Every weekend and during school holidays there are a wide range of children's activities to keep them amused.
Relax in the Water’s Edge cafe over a coffee or lunch. Or join us on one of our Spotlight tours to discover more about the Centre’s history and the wildlife highlights.
